One of my most recent and fascinating experiments is handing my Spotify to my kids in the car while I drive them to school. The other day, the DJs went from Weezer playing Africa to Ed Sheeran playing Shivers. I have no opinion, and it’s super fun to watch them argue and decide who gets to pick first, which songs, and whether it’s the “clean” version or not. The last week has been full of performance improvements, so there won’t be any noticeable changes to the UI. The main highlights:
Drupal Async Connector
Now our plugin will download translations from BWX asynchronously. If a project is very large in Drupal, such as 20+ pages in 20+ languages, it may time out during wordpress web design agency translation fetching and you will need to repeat the operation. We have tweaked and changed the behavior of translation memory search operations, especially during the translation phase (when you run a full round of Translation Memory + Machine Translation). We have added some new indexes, changed the page sizes, the number of accesses, and the result is a much faster operation.
System Availability
Lots of behind-the-scenes changes and configurations meant the production system was live the whole time. =) All optimizations were deployed in real time, including structural changes to databases and Elasticsearch clusters.
