BASIC RULES AND GUIDELINES OF ONE PIECE: THE LAST CRUISE
The twelve most important rules to keep in mind:
1) No Flaming: To flame means to insult someone in such a way that they feel offended afterwards. Even though it may start as a little mocking just for fun, the moment the flamed person wants to stop, that is the cue to stop. If you are flamed at any time, contact a staff member, don´t try to flame back because it will be used against you.
2) No Drama: Avoid taking real life issues into the forum. If people don´t mind it, the staff may not intervene (emphasis on "may") but if the staff takes notice that someone is being overly dramatic and people are getting tired of their ramblings, measures will be taken.
3) No Stalking: If someone clearly and explicitly indicates that they do not want someone in particular, or anyone at all, following them on any kind of social media that they have shared in the forum (Skype, Facebook, etc) then going against their wishes would be considered stalking. If you are being stalked, contact the staff at once. A member cannot ask a Staff member to stay away from a thread that needs moderation or approval, however.
4) No Flooding: Either on the Shoutbox or on a thread, flooding consists of sending many short messages/posts at once (outside of the OOC Zone and such) Flooding will not be tolerated and upon detection will be erased, and measures will be taken against the member.
5) No Spam: If you want to advertise your forum, leave a post at the Affiliations board. Other kinds of advertising will not be tolerated.
6) No Trolling: Meaning that consistently and deliberately someone looks to damage the forum´s members in any possible way. It includes trying to look for loopholes in the rules, trying to denigrate and insult the staff constantly, conspiring privately to cause troubles to the forum, breaking rules constantly, return after being banned by other methods, hacking (or even a topic regarding it, it results in instant IP ban), and having little or no respect for the staff members.
7) Content: Make sure your posts can be understood perfectly.
8) Do not take OOC grudges into IC: If you and another user have been arguing about something, you can make an OOC thread to sort it out or discuss in private, or even PM a staff member to help sort things out. However, making threads to discredit the forum is forbidden. If there is any complaint, post it at "Doubts, Complaints and Suggestions" only if it is very serious and you have justified reasons and proofs. Otherwise, just contact a staff member and discuss it in private.
9) Time: The character can only be in a single Present thread. Every time you start a new thread, it becomes the current Present thread, but you could also put a Past tag to let us know it takes place in the past, thus keeping your last Present thread as such.
10) Metagaming is forbidden. That means giving your character knowledge that he shouldn´t have (for example, them knowing that rubber is an electricity insulator without any scientific background, scientific companion or a background in which they discovered it on their own. Also counts for an user who reads someone else´s bio before a fight and then their character somehow decides to buy things made specifically to fight people like their opponent, even if they didn´t know who the opponent was)
11) In any sort of combat situation, you may only kill your opponent if both of you agree on it ending that way (although severe maiming and lasting wounds may not be entirely out of the equation if one surpasses the other in both level and power ups by a large margin.) That´s only in Present threads, since Past threads are kill-free (since it would create a time paradox if you died in the past while going for groceries at present) In past threads, maiming, lasting wounds, scars, etc are disabled. However, this only applies if the user has a Present thread currently going on. Don´t try to abuse this rule or someone special may drop by your current Present thread to say hi...
12) Any sort of topic including "Gore" or "Lemon" contents is forbidden. Same thing goes with drug usage, and other heavy, dark themes.
The moment you post anything in One Piece: The Last Cruise, you are thus accepting, signing and abiding by our rules, and means you have read them all.
Measures:
-Severe offense to a member, regardless of the rank of the person in question: 5-10 day ban
-Flooding, off-topic comments (except in the OOC zone): 2 day ban
-Moderation (a member who is not part of the staff trying to moderate or grade something): After an initial warning, if repeated, 2 day ban
-Double posting without 36 hours having passed since the last post: 2 day ban
-Spam not in the OOC zone or that disturbs/annoys the members: 3 day ban
-Posting forbidden content: 10 day ban all the way to a permanent ban depending on the content.
-Poorly used vocabulary at the Shoutbox (swearing, deliberate grammatical errors in large quantity, etc): 1-3 day ban from it, or merely kicking as a warning.
-Bothering the members at the Shoutbox: Kick from the Shoutbox. Repeated behavior: 1-5 day ban from the Shoutbox.
-Three consecutive kicks from the Shoutbox: 1 day ban from the Shoutbox.
Consecutive bans will multiply by two for every re-incidence. Meaning that if one is banned 10 days and insults a member again, this time it will become 20 days.
Five consecutive bans: Permanent IP Ban.
Not reading the rules does not justify breaking them.
