Crossing Tides: Wail of Misfortune (Open RP)

Loguetown

It was ten days before the marines found Luna, there white sails lead by a farmiliar seagull. The small white bird was without its bag and instead of a hat that said mail a small blue messanger cap was there. The gull took to fallowing Luna around almost constantly, even resting on her shoulder when it didnt feel like flying. Luna named him Sora, after the sky he traveled in and the winds he had power over. The captain had told her that she was going to be transfered to someone in Loguetown as soon as she was checked out by the ships doctor. So now here she was, staring out at the late sun as it shined over the tired town before her.

The captain called for the sails to be put away so Luna set to work. It had quickly been found out that she had some of the best balance on ship so she was often the one sent to the high up, narrow areas of the ship. Tieing the last not she used a loose rope to swing down to deck beside some of the men that where waiting to unload and get into town. When the plank finally found sand Luna was off to explore this new place with wide eyes. "I made it brother." She said to herself.

Quickly coming into view on the horizon, the Howling Banshee MKII, a large battleship that compared in size to that of the great White Beard's Moby Dick, being just as tall but a little bit longer and wider then than the ancient and legendary vessel. This ship however was not just vessel to sail the seas with but also served as the final Guild Hall of the Howling Banshees themselves; was fit with intricate detailed wooden design, hellhound bow, double steel edged prow with centaur figure heads, five wooden bone like protrusions with lanterns on each side, two large mast with three sails per mast and the Guilds Emblem and flag, a black three-headed wolf atop a white backdrop set high on the center mast. On foremost deck of ship is rib cage appearance with fiery light inside, and stern of deck are Feudal Japan style architecture buildings consisting of but not limited to several personalized workshops, a few sitting areas, a large circular training ring, and lastly the helm tower where sat Kyoshiro as he could watch anything and everything that would go down on the surface of the ship. With the sun just now beginning to sink into the horizon on the opposite side to which the ship was approaching, it would have been difficult to notice if not for the fiery orange-yellow glow that came from its lanterns and underneath the ships ribcage as it tore through the blue waves of the ocean with no delay, hurling itself closer and closer to Loguetown.

The Demon Wolf himself would stand at the edge of his tower, his three swords resting on his hips with two on his right and one on his left as he watched over the rest of his crew scattered all across the deck of the ship, some drinking and eating, others chatting up a storm, even some sparring to keep themselves sharp, all however when on edge as to what was to come next. It had been a long time since Kyoshiro had last been to Loguetown, a town that held one of his other Guild bases, a place known as the Full Moon Bar & Inn on the western side of town. This particular Guild Hall was growing low in numbers and were in danger of having being overwhelmed by those who thought it would be fun to mess with them. Naturally when Kyoshiro caught wind of this he was gravely disappointed in the off branch of his pack but could not let them fall due to the Guilds pride and public image, thus he planned to call forth the Wild Hunt. The Wild Hunt is just as it sounds, a massive hunting party filled with bounty hunters from the Howling Banshees that was designated to raid a town or area and capture anyone with a worthwhile bounty, especially any Devil Fruit users. Those on participating on the hunt are strictly ordered to only focus on those with bounties and everyone is said and to keep civilian casualties not just to a low but to an absolute zero otherwise be removed from the guild forever.

It wouldn't be long now before the Kyoshiro and his crew were ready to call on the hunt, people on the shore darting around before one or two people started noticing the ship off in the distance but had yet to figure out just who's it was due to the growing darkness, only knowing that it was a very large battleship. This naturally would slowly put everyone on edge, civilians, marines, and pirates alike as whispers of the approaching vessel started moving across the docks little by little with some people pointing with curiosity in their eyes while others simply watched and waited, not knowing about the approaching danger. One smart pirate aboard his Captains ship climbed into the crows nest to get a better look with his handheld spyglass, after a few seconds of a gander the pirates heart would drop into his stomach as he soon found himself looking at Howling Banshees flag. This put the man in shock for a second as he stumbled back and tried to regain his composure, the most feared Guild for any pirate to come across was headed directly for them and there was no time to get the ships ready to set sail. After a few moments the man would lean over the edge of the nest and shout to not just his crew but the entire dock itself, making sure everyone could hear him clearly.

"BANSHEES!"

A single word but all that was needed as the dock previously filled with the curious whispers of those around it quickly fell to a dead silence as everyone stopped in their tracks, a hint of fear in the air from not just the pirates but everyone as they knew exactly who was coming to their shores now, the leader of the Howling Banshees himself and the strongest of his Guild. Just as people started to get their voices back, Marine Captains telling their troops to start clearing the streets, civs finally making their way home, and pirates scampering around preparing for the battle that may come their way with a little bit of hope that the Banshees may just need supplies and happen to be in the area. These hopes of course shut down as an ear piercing wail that covered the whole town in what was often described as the screams of a dying woman, few people in town had heard the sound of the horn that initiated the Wild Hunt but there was almost no one who hadn't heard the stories, the ill omened screams of a Banshee signaling a night of terror and blood shed to all who had it coming to them, all knowing there to be no way to stop the hunt, only to outlast it. The moment the echoes of this wailing had ceased, every Marine Captain began shouting at their men to hurry with their orders, every pirate was truly preparing for a night that could be their last, and civilians now running and being escorted off the streets in hopes of safety from what was about to come. At the same time over at the ship, they would slowly come to a stop, laying anchor and releasing a dozen or so long boats that each held 20 or so Bounty Hunters, all of which were strong enough to easily hold their own on the Grand Line.

Luna heard the call and before she could properly take a look she was being shoved along with the rest of the crowd. After the sixth time of alnost being tossed to the stone paved streets she made her way to the nearest wall and swiftly climed the brick face until she was sitting on the edge and watching the chaos from a safe distance. Keen eyes picked up the paniced faces of obvious pirates so she could only guess that these 'banshees'where either a fleet of Marines or a group of bounty hunters. Either way they where skilled to say the least. Pirates where being lead like sheep to slaughter. She was impressed a operation like this would take a long time to plan unless it was simply instinked and that would require alot of trust in one another.

"The priests said that Crystalia was one of a kind. That the reat of the world was in madness. Why would they lie?" She asked herself as she crossed her legs and frowned in thought. The many peiple below where fun to watch, each trying to out run another as Luna giggled from her spot up high.

With a large portion of his crew making their way to Loguetown, most just having just recently touched their feet on the shore, Kyoshiro would soon make his way to his own boat accompanied by two of his IQ plant enhanced wolves, Talon and Ryka, as well as four other bounty hunters who rowed the boat to the dock while his Guild met several of the pirate crews in battle. With the rain starting to come down and the ring of swords and gunfire filling the air with the screams of all manner of people right along with them, several pirate ships attempting to pull up their anchors but due to one of Kyoshiros most trusted commanders, had the chains to their anchors wrapped around each other making escape impossible without damaging the ship or letting go of the anchors entirely. By the time most would figure this out would already be to late as several of the Howling Banshee members would have already found their way on board the pirate ships and started taking them out one by one with little hardship. Almost every single person who considered themselves a pirate would be at a threat of being apprehended, this was because there is almost no way to know every single person with a bounty in the town, instead they would round up all the pirates and figure out whether they had a bounty or not, after which they would either be given to the marines and their bounties captured, or sent along their way to either change their life or gather a bounty so to be a later payday some time down the road.

For those hunters who were in town, they would be kicking in the doors to houses, shops, bars, and every establishment that a pirate could use to hide from the Wild Hunt, everyone of the hunters being trained to be extremely thorough and to leave no stone unturned.  Several dozen pirates would be captured almost immediately upon the hunters entering the buildings, putting up little in terms of a fight and some even trying to use civilians as a body shield, a poor move on their part as this gave the hunters less reason to take them alive. Those that did find a decent place to hide were lucky enough to out last the first 20-30 minutes of this raid possibly even the first coming hour if they truly kept their head down, that would all change the moment Kyoshiros boat slid into the sand of the shore and he stepped off. The four hunters who accompanied him went on their way clearing his path of all the unworthy as his two large snowy white wolves who had a form of light but noticibly tough armor covering their backs, face and shoulders, walked at his sides.

With the King of The Hunt now able to be seen by any who were unlucky enough to look, they would see a tall man standing at just over 6 feet tall with an entirely blue-black metallic body except for his face which had that of an older white male with a default stern expression that alone could tell you this man had seen many battles in his day. His hair was a pale white and shagely draped down his back just between his shoulders while his normally pale blue eyes would have a slight but noticeable green glow to them as he switched to night vision. The scar on his face that trailed down his forehead and over the left side of his cheek to his chin would stand out in the rain as he pressed on through the streets, marines and hunters alike stepping out of his path not just out of fear but out of respect as well. With Kyoshiro walking the street seeing the men and woman of his crew bringing pirate after pirate down to the docks, most would be unconscious or badly injured but a few would have given up willingly or even been killed in the struggle of their lives.

Passing by a brothel and only pausing in his tracks for just a second, he could almost feel someone inside but was such a small feeling that he didn't bother checking it himself, instead he would nod to Ryka and have her go check it out. Ryka being almost 4ft tall without standing on her hind legs quickly pounced onto the door knocking it clear off its hinges and slamming it into the ground with her on top of it, she scanned the room looking for anyone who immediately stood out as suspicious but when she saw nothing noticeable at first she would start sniffing around, walking through the building ignoring everyone else who looked.. though scarred.. not out of place. Even though the room building was filled with the scent of several dozen people, it didn't take her to long to notice a lone odd female hiding behind the bouncer of the establishment, most others may look scared but they had no reason to really hide, this one woman however was obviously trying to stay out of sight. Ryka would keep her eyes on the female as she slowly lowered herself to the ground almost as if she was ready to pounce while letting out a low growl that showed that she was onto her. The moment this wolf started growling the bouncer would most likely realize that being a human shield was not his best option and so would quickly shuffle away giving the woman his regards and thanking her for her contribution to the brothel the night before.

Kyoshiro himself was now a good number of meters down the street with Talon still at his side, both making their way to the western side of town on his way to the slowly diminishing guild hall so to check up on things. It would still be a little while before he got their, but with no one to stand in his way there would be no delay in time nor any rush to get there any faster then he felt he wanted to.

((Note: The wolves Ryka and Talon are the same breed of wolf you would find on the fifth hell of Impel Down, however they were left for a few years on the ruined island of Merveille where the IQ plant still grows, this sped up their evolution process and though not by very much, they are still stronger, faster and smarter then their less evolved counterparts. Also the armor that covers most of the top part of their body such as the back, head, and the four leg shoulders is quite light but much stronger then your typical steel.))

As Luna watched the running people below her she was left wondering if this new town was always in such a disorded. "Who are you?" The voice came from behind her and she slowly turned to see a tall blond manbin a marine uniform. "I am a woman, nothing more nothing less." She said with a soft smile. "Look lady, I'm not in the mood, just tell me the you name." The man asked in a harsh tone, like he had been dealkng with idiots all day.

"Ah you wanted my name, why didn't you just ask? I am Luna Blade of Crystalia." She smiled as the marines shoulders dropped a bit. Sora flew down from where he had been flying to reat on her shoulder. "Did you have fun?" She asked only to be smacked softly on the backnof her head by his wing.

"Your the one who wanted to watch the action from the sky, don't get mad at me if you missed Mr..." She paused "oh forgive me sir, I don't have your name." Sora let loose what could only be a seagulls version of laughing as Luna looked to find the man inching away from her. "Kai, you can call me Kai." He said hesitantly.

"Very well, hello Kai. This is my pet-" she was corrected with another smack to the head. "Ah partner, my partner Sora." Kai nodded and looked around in a desprate way "Look Ms. Blade, your not a pirate or anything right?" He really didnt want to be around the crazy girl with the laughing bird anymore then he needed to be so when she shook her head he was gone as fast as he could.

She was left confused and Sora was chuckling on her shoulder with odd coos and chirps. "Was it somethong I said?" She asked the air but when nothing answered him she shrugged. "Go ahead Sora, fly around and get a feel for the town from above, maybe you can help me get around after everything calms down." Sora was off with a roll of his eyes as Luna went back to watching the insanity.

Jacqueline hesitantly follows the wolf out of the brothel to what she thinks could be her death, so she begins to be overcome with panic as she isn't sure what this wolf is going to do to her given she's not a pirate. The stress of this situation does not play kindly to her stomach, as she starts feeling like she's suffering from heart-burn and some really nasty intestinal problems that lead to her belching out bits of stomach acid and some truly rancid and almost bio-hazardously noxious farts. Her face and body language display that she is consciously sorry for this inconvenience to this wolf, but the stress of not knowing her fate is really driving her mad.

"Sorry wolfy... stress tends to make me a bit ... gassy and well... yeah... sorry, please don't kill me."

=Jacqueline says as the stress of not knowing her fate continues to be a foul mistress, making her puke her guts out every so often, her body just sweating bullets and her entire body language just screaming that this woman is utterly terrified and has no idea what this wolf wants from her. She feels her sanity slowly breaking down from all this excessive stress, as she swears she starts to hear the old voices from her mentally insane days beckoning her for some entertainment. The thought that she may be losing her sanity once again and this time there might not ever be a way back, makes the woman just drop onto the floor as her hands clamp tight against either side of her head as her face turns almost dead-white with utter fear. Her body starts to shake from the terror and she curls into a ball with her knees touching her torso and just cradles herself on the road, as the voices beckon her to slit the wolf's throat and wear it's pelt like a scarf.=

"SHUT UP!!!! I'm sane and those aren't real. I'm sane and those aren't real. I'm sane and those aren't real."

=Jacqueline starts mumbling to herself as she just lays on the cobblestone floor in utter terror that this unnaturally stressful situation and day is giving her, and making her question if the devil fruit she so fought for is just a temporary fix for her mind.=
